end of the world indeed!

well,

maybe not so much of the curry sauce anymore,

since it’s been recently revived together with a 1-for-1 nuggets promo.

i must say i’m utterly disappointed with cafe cartel,

no free flow bread 就算了,

still dare to charge 40cts per pathetic slab of butter?

tsk!

anyways,

the sad news is,

my favourite item on the tcc menu has been taken away too!

and the last time i ate this was at ion with kingchan,

during an accidental double date with kc and jiahui.

we all happened to be at ion that evening,

and gossiping about a certain blogger brought us together at tcc.

then somehow,

we ended up double-dating again during halloween!

i’ve always yearned for a halloween party,

but i’ll always end up lazing around at home on the day itself.

so this year i resolved to do something different!

knowing that xxy is working at dempsey on that day,

we decided to drop by after dinner for some desserts.

fooling around with the camera while waiting for ja and kc to arrive.

there wasn’t much halloween atmosphere over at dempsey (only bnjs was decorated),

so we proceeded to clarke quay where all the action was!

true enough,

clarke quay was seething with people of different costumes!

it was like a mega-scaled DND!

everyone was taking pictures with everyone else but we felt too underdressed and paiseh to ask for photos.

so we just took pictures among ourselves! :p

ja met some cheerleaders there and they ended up stunting in the heart of clarke quay!

that’s about all for our halloween this year.

more exciting than previous years but not exciting enough!

so jiahui and i have decided on a plan for halloween next year:

to dress up and to score at least 3 strangers taking photos with us.

oh yes i’m all done!

a big pat on the back for being able to resist the temptation to procrastinate,

when the deadline of my assignments was extended to 14Dec.

now i have 1 full month to relax and rejuvenate. yippee!

talking about relaxing,

i can’t be more excited about my upcoming trips!

in exactly a week from now i’ll be on the plane with kt, baozhu and faith,

on our way to medan to visit the monk!

and exactly a week after i’m back,

i’ll be jetting off to krabi with kingchan! ♥

with a december so awesome,

really hope it won’t be over too soon!

so here’s a post to fill up this neglected space of mine before i dive back into my mountain of assignments.

one sunday evening,

we brought the little ones to marina barage for some kite flying!

there wasn’t much wind that day so the little ones had to run around just to get the kite up for that split second.

i had a good workout chasing after them for pictures too!

after a while,

we decided to try the other kite we brought — the giant sparrow!

but it didn’t fly too high either

(check out the frustration on quentin’s face!)

 luckily,

kingchan came to our rescue and we managed to fly the kites up quite high before the sky turned too dark.

dinner after that at putien (super yummy!!) and here’s a picture of anne-laure and her favourite-person-of-the-night:

i’m glad i got mine off gmarket at less than one-tenth of that price

anne-laure was so brave to open her eyes in the water!

(i’m ashamed to admit this but up till today,

i still feel the jitters about opening my eyes in the water. )

especially without his goggles.

but being a huge copy cat of anne-laure,

my otaku bf just 心动 me big time on sat.

i was actually quite upset with him on sat,

because he was busy gaming at the time when we were supposed to meet.

what’s more infuriating was that he actually asked me to take it as if i can’t meet him that day:

what audacity!

and this wasn’t the first time i had to deal with such disappointments.

ok, i admit i happened to be pms-ing too,

so things tend to get blown out of proportion,

but still! hmmph!

luckily,

he didn’t finish gaming too late,

and by the time i saw him,

i wasn’t that angry already.

as a result,

i totally didn’t expect the surprise that was awaiting me at his house.

when we got to his place,

he switched on his computer and started the roller-coaster tycoon game that we were both playing for the past few weeks.

i saw that he created a new themepark so i went to explore by moving the mouse about.

and then i saw this:

OMG SO SWEET!

he actually built a themepark and named it “King’s Love” (so lame, but i like! )

and planted trees (painstakingly planted one by one!) to form the words I ♥ XY.

awwwwwww!

i’m touched that despite all the stuff that is going on (be it work, family, etc),

he actually bothered spending the efforts to 心动 me.

times like this just make me feel like i’m the one who should be putting in more efforts into the relationship.

well, i guess being with a games-obsessed bf is definitely not an easy task,

but it isn’t totally unbearable too.

school’s starting again!

i can’t believe i’m dreading this as much as a primary school kid.

the 2 weeks of holidays simply zoomed past like that (as usual).

although i managed to complete 3 out of the 5 things i promised myself i would do,

i still feel pretty unaccomplished.

just now when zikai asked me if i missed my students after not seeing them for so long,

i feel like asking him if he’ll miss his bangla workers when he’s away.

I DON’T MISS MY STUDENTS AT ALL

and i really want a longer break.

well, i’m proud to say that prior to this trip,

i’ve been to the CC once for some social work thingy.

never knew i would step foot into this (kinda) forsaken land again,

but all thanks to all the post-election hype,

we decided to explore one of singapore’s oldest neighbourhood (not because it’s truly an old estate, but really due to its poorly-taken-care-of exterior).

i remember reading somewhere that because potong pasir was governed by the opposition party since 1984,

it hasn’t really gone through any bit of renovation since.

even amenities were compromised.

i heard potong pasir didn’t have their own mcdonalds until the recent years.

one of the must-do of our mini expedition was to take a photo of the legendary cubicle that mr chiam see tong used for his meet-the-residents sessions in the past few years.

in case you’re lousier than me (i only found out last weekend) and have zero idea what planking is,

here’s a definition from wiki:

The hands must touch the sides of the body, and having a photograph of the participant taken and posted on the internet is an integral part of the game.
