hide and seek, taboo, charoodles, BINGO!
September 29, 2009
some weeks ago 6h met up for a gathering-cum-house-warming to jiahui’s lovely new house!
but before we actually visit her house,
a few of us met up at adam’s road food center, which is a stone’s throw away from jiahui’s new house, for dinner:

and then it was desserts at island creamery (which i did not take photos of) before heading to her uber huge house!
because no one (among us) has visited her house before except me,
we decided play hide and seek as part of “orientation”!
so here are pictures of us outside her house before we begin:

i was hiding in the maid’s room (camouflage ma..clever right?
)
and it was quite a secretive place so i was one of the last ones to be caught. heh.
no prize for guessing who was the last one to be found though haha.
so after the game,
we explored the place even further and took pictures with various corners of her house.
the toilet that can accomodate 6 of us comfortably:

the well equipped entertainment room:

the hell’s-kitchen-lookalike kitchen:

pool #1:

pool #2:

the staircase where we camwhored at:

so after much messing around,
we settled in the entertainment room for board games!
first up was TABOO!

you can tell from our faces we were having loads of fun!
but i was quite distracted throughout the game by jiahui’s beauty and this explains why there’s so many pictures of her below.
HURHUR.

and next up was CHAROODLES!
for those who don’t know what charoodles is,
it’s basically charades with props (those cups/balls u see in the pictures below)!

and the king of charoodles gotta be kexin!
he can convincingly act out any weird animals (including insects like spiders) that were given to him.
and the night ended with BINGO!

call me suaku if you like,
it was my first time playing bingo with money!
i still remember how i used to play the 5X5 self-drawn bingo during lectures in jc.
that was so long ago.

but no beginners’ luck for jiahui and i!
we both lost terribly and people had to sponsor us to let us play.
(and still we didn’t win argh!)
well,
hope we have better luck next time!
so 6h,
when are we bingo-ing again?

king chan and i don’t usually celebrate our monthsaries,
because either we’ll both forget,
or even if we did remember,
kingchan is forever too lazy to celebrate with me.
but somehow we both remember this time,
and we had time to go out on a simple date.
and it turned out to be the best monthsary celebration so far (:
______________________________
the night started out with dinner at xinwang taiwan cafe at citylink:

where we ordered too much food for us to finish!

only the 盐酥鸡 was nice.

but i loveeee the mango milkshake with pearls!
then after dinner we walked to marina square,
where kingchan insist on bringing me to this “legendary staircase”.
we walked for at least 30mins around marina square/millenia walk/suntec,
in search of this “legendary staircase”.
finally 皇天不负苦心人,
we found the staircase outside starbucks!

i’ve been to marina square at least 30times but i’ve never seen this staircase fountain before!
as we walked down the stairs, kingchan told me he even had to do some research in order to find this staircase.
awww.
how romantic, i thought to myself.
but not for long.
as we were approaching the end of the staircase,
i saw this:

truth is: kingchan park his car at the carpark and HAPPEN TO SEE this staircase when he walk to suntec to meet me and he decided to BLUFF ME about bringing me to some romantic staircase that he RESEARCHED about.
was i angry?
not the slightest bit.
in fact,
i thought he was being very creative and funny.
(yes. i’m hopelessss)

so anyway we hopped onto his car and headed to his house to for part 2,
where we planned to make a scrapbook page in our scrapbook together.
in the past i used to do it for him as gifts,
but i figured it would be more meaningful if we do it together
so thinking that we’ll be doing the scrapbook,
i started looking through and taking out all the materials that we might need.
in the midst of doing so,
i realised some of my stickers were missing,
and my lace/ribbons seemed much shorter.
but i suspected nothing,
thinking to myself perhaps i’ve used them but forgot.
then when i opened the scrapbook,
i was greeted by a pleasant surprise:

the page was already nicely done up!
i was so touched i teared immediately.
it meant so much to me because we had some disagreements the week before and it was a bad week for the both of us.
and becuase of this nice little gesture,
all the unhappiness accumulated the week before was completely gone.

editing anne laure and quentin’s pictures makes me miss them again
well,
emo-ness aside,
here’s the (almost) full collection of the pictures taken during their 1 month stay in sunny singapore!
.
.
.
when they first arrive and still a little shy:

i was already like a paedophile snapping away
something painful happened that day that made me quite guilty.
little quentin cut his finger while he was playing with some water fountain structure at the hotel lobby.
the wound was so deep and there was so much blood the floor was all red where quentin was standing.
and though it was not entirely my fault i kinda feel bad about it.
thank goodness quentin is an extremely brave boy and he stopped crying very soon after.

and for the rest of the days,
i took so many photos i already forgot which came before which.
so i’m just going to organise the photos according to the activity
of arcades.
one day we brought them to the arcade at BHG of bugis junction:

i’m glad i brought them there ’cause i think it’s kinda hard to find such things in the small little french town they are residing in.
of playdoh.

i think i had loads of fun when i played with them too
of swimming pools and playgrounds.
i’ve never met kids who likes water/swimming more than them.
especially quentin.
his love for water extend to ANYTHING associated to water/liquid (even SOUPS!).
and here are pictures of them playing at the swimming pool below my house,

and jiahui (fellow paedophile) came over to play with them too
i love the way quentin keep attacking jiahui with the water gun hurhur!

besides my house’s swimming pool,
they love imm’s dry and wet playground too!

and not forgetting,
the most interesting/fun (even i couldn’t resist joining in the fun!) wet playground in singapore:
the wet playground in zoo!

because little quentin was quite afraid to take the longer (blue) slides,
anne laure wanted to hold his hand to go down together!
(see top right photo)
so sweeeeet.

of camwhoring.
these 2 little kids love taking pictures as much as me!
and they love to do the 喜怒哀乐 faces too!

cute to the max!
of shoes.
one day at bata:

he didn’t even realise he was wearing it the wrong side.
how cute!

and because he was so engrossed running around the shop,
(see above pictures)
i decided to play a prank and hid his shoes.
and check out his expressions before and after finding his shoes:
(top row = before; bottom row = after)

of pure cuteness.
i ran out of ideas for titles so the following are just some random photos

AU REVOIR!
they love me

i must end this entry with the following pictures,
even if it might potentially (and permanently) destroy my 10years friendship with them:

i still love you xian and jiahui!
hurray to our (more than) 10 years of friendship! ♥

i miss anne-laure and quentin so much.
i miss them much more this time round as compared to the last time they came 2 years ago.
so much so that i decided to post some pictures of them here before i have the time to finish organising the 200 over photos i took of them.

and this was the moment they said “bye bye, jiejie!” to me at the airport.
emo.

September 10, 2009
sorry for the lack of updates/pictures!
i’m back with uber overdue pictures (hence the title ‘chao sng’ which means ‘turned sour’ in hokkien) in an effort to revive this blog!
note: pictures are in total random order cause they’re so long ago i forgot which event came after which! :X

dimsum dollies!

met up with the koyak gang for our annual yumcha buffet!

and here are just SOME of the dim sum devoured by the 4 of us.
and dear linluan drank like 3 bowls of soup?

and here’s what our table looks like at one point of time:

!!!
6h bowls at Chevrons

can you judge from the pictures below who has the highest score that day?

the answer is:

congrats jiahui for beating pwee and his own professional bowling ball!

although jiahui and i were quite disappointed that h*nda pangseh that day i guess we all still had fun right?
there is always fun with 6h around!
dc @ flea fly flo fun!

us with our luggages of pre-loves!

business was quite good that day!
i think we were all quite happy that we gotten rid of some old (and quite ugly) clothes!
and to ‘celebrate’, we went to glutton’s bay for yummy supper!

my first chomp chomp experience!
i must be living in a cave or something.
i actually only visited chompchomp FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE sometime in july this year!
anyway i have to say the food there is really good!
but waiting 1 hour for the chicken wings is just ridiculous!

really happy to see ekie back from her exchange! : ))

and the night ended with some illegal-looking dealings between ac and friend and some camera guy.
johnny, ekie and i had loads of fun coming up with speculations about random passer-bys (like the lady in the hip orange jacket) and how they’re spying on ac, blah blah.
poor passerbys haha.

suyi performs at 爱琴海
check out the menu on the bottom left!
the drinks were all named after popular song names

us with our drinks that took 10,000 years to come:

and here’s the star of the night:

SUYI YOU ROCK!

when we turned 6
for our 6th anniversary i learnt and made a pop-up card for kingchan!

looks chui right?
check out the mechanism inside!

see? when the card opens, my face will move towards kingchan’s face to give him a kiss!
hahaha! i’m so zai!
boyfriends and fellow girlfriends out there who want to make this for your special one can ask me for “recipe”!
我要唱下去!
thank you emsie for giving us the chance to sit in for the filming!

inside the studio!
and since photo-taking wasn’t allowed in the studio after the show has started,
the bottom 2 pictures were taken in secret. :X

impromptu supper after tennis
one night when i was at home,
alvin ng suddenly called and poof! we were off to holland v for crystal jade supper and 2am desserts!
crystal jade was nothing interesting so i only took photos in 2am,
especially since it was my first time there!
what a suaku!

here are some of their desserts:

and now check out mine:

i spent 15bucks on lumps of raspberry/strawberry jellies and
a pathetic dollop of melting ice-cream.
everyone there was laughing at my dessert
sigh.
even so,
i still wanna go back there again,
(hopefully with mr k*ngch*n)
for the ambience and stuff
[hope you get the hint, boyfriend
]
the new paradiz – POMO!
dear linluan brought us to a japanese themed foodcourt at the old paradiz center (which is now called POMO <— weird name).
the food there isn’t fantastic but at least it’s very cheap!

ignore their painful expressions,
the food is not that bad!

and outings with koyak gang is never complete without a bursting stomach so we walked over to rochor tauhuay for desserts:

my friend linluan has a MANE.
haha.
bakerzin with gugong girls
thanks to bakerzin’s 50% promotion,
i think i put on an extra 1-2kg.

and even though many said that the panna cotta is not that nice,
i still crave for it at times!

…
more overdue pictures to come,
especially of anne-laure and quentin!
save myself a disappointment
